Like other pellet litters this one is dust free and low tracking. Why would i use wood pellets as cat litter. However the pine oils are destroyed in the manufacturing process leaving the pellets safe. Feline pine cat litter uses a chemical free formula.

This formula is made from selected scrapped pine lumber. The litter is kiln dried before being processed and compressed into clean sterile pellets. Wood pellets sometimes called wood stove fuel pellets or pellet fuel and brand names like feline pine cat litter can make a great replacement for regular cat litter and have many advantages over the traditional clay stuff. This pellet cat litter also has a natural pine scent to it.

The pellets are made from 100 northeastern white pine without chemicals or additives. For the first few years before being acquired by arm hammer feline pine provided excellent results completely knocking out the ammonia smell of cat urine and lasting for a very very long time. Pick up the poop and mix the pellets once a day. Once the cat goes the pee is absorbed by the pellets which expand and become sawdust.

The sawdust falls to the bottom box leaving only unused pine pellets on top. Only used pine falls to the bottom. Some say pine pellet litter is dangerous for cats due to the pine oils contained in the wood which may cause respiratory and liver problems.
